Join Our Team as an Agricultural Diesel Mechanic!

Lockyer Farm Machinery, a premier Agricultural Dealer representing renowned brands such as Massey Ferguson, Fendt, and Mahindra, is currently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Gatton. Key Duties:

• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests on machinery to identify issues and potential problems.
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and optimal performance and according to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Diagnose and repair tractors, sprayers, and tillage equipment with precision and efficiency.
• Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and software to assist in troubleshooting and analysis.
• Report and document findings accurately, including work performed and parts used.
• Coordinate with the Spare Parts department for timely procurement of required components.
• Keep abreast of technical advancements in the field and participate in training sessions as required.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members or apprentices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and workspaces.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment.
• Assist in the assembly and installation of new equipment or machinery as needed.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns, both on-site and in the workshop.
• Interact professionally with customers and provide excellent customer service during repairs or maintenance.

Requirements:

• Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
• Prior experience in agricultural machinery is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a valid Driver’s license.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient problem-solving abilities to diagnose faults efficiently.
• Physical fitness to handle heavy equipment and work in challenging conditions.
• Attention to detail to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and explain technical issues clearly.
• Customer service mindset to provide professional and reliable support.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
